I am just so sick of fake apologies. Daniel Tosh apologized for making some rape jokes during his stand up act a few years ago. But they were funny and the crowd laughed. Most importantly, he wasn’t sorry. So why should anyone want that?
We all know why he apologized. He’s on Comedy Central and the mother company insisted he apologize to help people forget sooner. It’s the same reason now controversial figure Donald Sterling, the Clippers owner, will apologize later today. He made some remarks to his girlfriend telling her not to bring black people to Clippers’ games.
I’m not condoning racism. But if this guy is as racist as he sounds, he should stand by his racist remarks. He is not sorry. But because he’s part of a larger animal, the NBA, he will be coerced into making a fake apology in an effort to make everything go away. But he can’t take his remarks back. We all know he’s a racist.
In a perfect world, no one would be racist. But in a better world than ours, people would be allowed to say what they think without being bullied into retractions. I would love nothing more than Donald Sterling to hold a press conference and instead of apologizing say something like “only God can judge me.” I guess it’d be ironic though, because if God does exist he’s going to Hell.
Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. Nevertheless think
of if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your
posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and
clips, this website could definitely be one of the greatest
in its niche. Superb blog!
